Amazon customers fuming as Xbox One X pre-orders didn’t deliver

Xbox One X will support 1440p

The console has now landed in UK stores – but online shoppers have been left furious after orders failed to arrive.

Amazon UK has blamed “stock issues”, according to reports.

Many customers affected only discovered there was a problem with their order upon waking this morning.

Many contacted Amazon themselves to find out why their purchases were not yet dispatched.

“Good job @AmazonUK . Preordered @Xbox One X (Scorpio Edtn) back on the 20th August and now you have no stock. What happened to my order?” one fumed.

“I’d love to play your new console @xbox , but @amazon are telling me my pre-order from August is out of stock and won’t get it. Please… stop your business with them!” another livid customer wrote.

Another asked: “I spend £450 on a new xbox one X. Why can’t you get it to me on the release date? Very disappointed”

The Xbox One X is essentially an upgrade over the current Xbox One S console.

At the heart of the new machine is a significant upgrade in the processor – leaping from an eight core chip running at 1.75ghz to an octo-core chip performing at 2.3ghz.
