Assassin’s Creed Origins‘ world gets even bigger today with the release of The Hidden Ones, a DLC expansion that adds the new Sinai region to the map, as well as a new storyline, new weapons and outfits, and more. Set four years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins, The Hidden Ones puts Bayek in conflict with an occupying force of Romans as his fledgling Assassin Brotherhood continues to grow.
Despite taking place after the campaign, you can access The Hidden Ones at any time by starting one of its quests or fast-traveling to the new region – although it’s recommended for players who are at least close to level 40. The DLC also raises the level cap to 45, letting you continue to push Bayek’s limits to meet the challenges ahead.
Two new crafting levels have been added as well, letting players further improve Bayek’s gear, and you’ll be able to discover a new outfit, new mounts, four new Legendary weapons, and numerous other, non-Legendary new weapons. All that progression will stay with you if you decide to switch back to the main campaign, too, so be ready to smash through Ptolemy’s ranks like never before.
The Hidden Ones is available now with the Season Pass, or for $9.99 from the Microsoft Store – and it’s just the beginning of what’s ahead for Assassin’s Creed Origins. On February 20, the educational Discovery Tour mode will be added as a free download, turning the game world into a combat-free living museum where you’ll be able to take guided tours curated by Egyptologists and historians.
And on March 6, Bayek’s story will expand further with The Curse of the Pharaohs, a second expansion that brings Egyptian myth to life as Bayek explores a new, mystical realm plagued by undead pharaohs and mythical creatures. Increasing the level cap still further, The Curse of the Pharaohs will also add completely new abilities to unlock as you progress.
The Season Pass is available now, There’s still plenty to discover in Ancient Egypt.
