Battlefield 4 Naval Strike DLC and update rolling out to Xbox One

Naval Strike, the third expansion for Battlefield 4, is rolling out to Battlefield Premium members on Xbox One, according to an updated post on the Battlefield blog.

The expansion was also pushed back for Windows PC due to an issue discovered by EA DICE, saying “quality is our number one priority and we will not release Battlefield 4 Naval Strike on PC until we feel it meets the highest quality level possible.” According to a previous update, the developer was aiming to launch the delayed downloadable content early next month on both PC and Xbox One.

The developer also began rolling out an Xbox One update to coincide with the expansion’s release. The update consists of numerous general fixes, improvements to the netcode and additions to the game’s progression perks. The roll out integrates aircraft, vehicle, grenade, weapon and gadget tweaks. Naval Strike features dynamic weather patterns, four nautical-themed maps, a new game mode, along with a new vehicle, the two-seater ACV hovercraft. The new Carrier Assault mode, a homage to the Titan mode of Battlefield 2142, is a two-stage battle set in the South China Sea.
