Fortnite season 4 Countdown Begins: Release date, start time & skins

The Fortnite season 4 release date and start time is tomorrow, with the Battle Pass update arriving on PS4, Xbox One and Mobile.

And ahead of the Fortnite season 4 launch, Epic Games have confirmed that Fortnite servers will be going down.

The official Fortnite Twitter account revealed today that servers will be going offline at 8am BST ahead of the Fortnite season 4 launch.

They tweeted: “Impact is imminent! Downtime for the Season 4 update is scheduled for tomorrow, May 1 at 4:00am Eastern Time (08:00 GMT)”.

The Fortnite down tweet also included an emoji for a comet followed by a collision icon, suggested Fortnite season 4 will kick-off with a meteor strike.

It had been widely rumoured among the Fortnite community that Fortnite season 4 would begin with a meteor strike on Tilted Towers.

However, latest rumours claim that Fortnite season 4 will instead kick off with a comet hitting Dusty Depot.

Fortnite season 4 is also expected to have a superhero theme and UFOs are also rumoured to play a part, with an alien skin teased by Epic today.
