The Xbox One X – the most powerful console yet created – will be playable at EGX 2017, the first and only time that UK gamers will be able to try it ahead of its release later this year.
Announced at last year’s E3 and detailed in depth by Digital Foundry earlier this year, the Xbox One X is a dramatic upgrade over the standard Xbox One, and has been designed to play games in 4K resolution. Older games are upscaled to look more impressive than the original console. It’s six-teraflop performance makes it the most powerful games console ever made.
Show attendees will be able to put the console through its paces with a games lineup including Forza Motorsport 7, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Sea of Thieves and Super Lucky’s Tale.
Tickets are still available for all four days of the show, and can be bought on the EGX tickets page. We will have more announcements for this year’s lineup in the coming days and weeks.
EGX 2017 is to host the grand final of the Splatoon 2 UK Championship this September! Nintendo is searching for the UK’s best Splatoon 2 squid squad and there’s still time to show off your skills and qualify for next month’s final.
