Starting its life as a PlayStation 3 title, developer Supermassive Games have announced that Until Dawn will release for the PlayStation 4 on August 25 in North America and August 26 in Europe.

You can check out the release date trailer below, while also learning about new cast member Peter Stormare below:

Peter Stormare, who you might recognise from Prison Break, The Big Lebowski and (more recently) Arrow! He gave some incredibly powerful performances in the motion capture studio and you can tell from the end result in the game that he had some fun with the character. We couldn’t be happier to have him in the games and I can’t wait for you to see him in full flow.

If you pre-order Until Dawn, you’ll receive a special bonus scene for free. As Supermassive explains, “This exclusive scene sees Matt and Emily, a new couple, out on the mountain – but it’s not long until they start to suspect they aren’t alone.”

In Europe, Until Dawn will be available in three different editions: standard edition, extended edition, and the steelbook edition. Specific details are still to come, but the extra editions will only be carried in these countries: UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Israel, Cyrpus, Malta.
