Throughout Red Dead Redemption you will be looting, stealing and robbing to your hearts content, which in turn will give you a lot of stuff. A lot of hot stuff that normal merchants won’t touch with a barge poll… Who’s got a barge poll?
Well, the good news is, there are some people within the game who will take your ill-gotten gains from you. These people are called fences and will take all manner of things from you. The first fence that you come across is in Chapter 2 when you have to steal a stagecoach for Seamus, once this mission has been completed, you can go to him to get some cash for all the buckles, rings and watches that you have acquired. (He will even buy gold bars from you)
As you go through the game from this point, more and more fences will open up giving you a range of people to go to across the world.
If you don’t want to go to a fence though and are feeling generous to the camp, you can always donate the items to the camps cause in the box by Dutch’s tent. (Remember to complete the first mission for Herr Strauss to open this)
