Apex Legends will drop the Season 1 Battle Pass this Friday 15th March.

Yesterday an image appears to confirm the existence of Octane, a new legend character that had previously been leaked two weeks back.

However, this new image – seen below – went live accidentally on EA’s own Origin website mere minutes ago.

That said, with EA uploading potentially brand new images and content on their official sites, it’s plausible that the games big new update could be about to drop without so much of a heads up from the developers or publisher.

Which wouldn’t be crazy, since, they did already release the game with zero fan fare? For those who don’t recall, the game, launched early February, pretty drop launched within a day or two of rumours about a potentially new titanfall game.

For those interested, the image comes by way of the Twitter user, @shrugtal who noticed a small image showing Octane along with the line:

“Welcome to the Wild Frontier – Survive the arena, meet Apex Games’ latest legend, Octane, wield new weapons and score unique loot. The Season 1 Battle Pass is here, purchase it at the in-game store for 950 Apex Coins.”

As you can imagine, the discovery has led many to believe the Battle Pass could launch tonight!

Which would tie in with previous rumours we’d heard regarding the Apex Legends Battle Pass Release Date from a tweet sent out by AMD.

For the time being this is the only further information we have about the Battle Pass for Season 1.
