Dying Light over this weekend gave fans a title update that enables modding, correcting an earlier patch that had disabled mods while trying to contain or prohibit cheating in the game.

Version 1.4.0 for Dying Light notes that modded versions will not work online with others playing original, unchanged versions of the game, but mods will be compatible with versions that have been modded identically.

A slew of other changes, fixes, balances and upgrades also are described in the patch notes, viewable here. Among them are “significantly reduced RAM usage” and fixing the “extremely long loading times” that some users had been experiencing.
